Description

Tulip "Mariage" is a flower belonging to the peony-flowered and multi-flowered family. The plants reach a height of 50 cm, the tulip stems are strong and firm, and the leaves are bright green and elongated. The flowers are voluminous, dense, consisting of a large number of delicate pink petals 5-10 cm in diameter. The active flowering period is April-May. The plant is fragrant. The flowers have a subtle intoxicating aroma.

The root system of tulips consists of bulbs. They should be planted in loamy or sandy soil in open areas with direct sunlight. Before planting, the soil should be fertilized for better growth. The planting depth for bulbs is 5-10 cm, the optimal distance between flowers is 15 cm. Tulips prefer a moderate amount of moisture and require watering during dry periods. For longer flowering, the plants need regular feeding. The variety is resistant to low temperatures (frost hardiness zone – 3-4).

They can be grown both in open ground and in pots. In the latter case, plants need additional feeding with fertilizers and minerals. Flowers of this variety are also used for cut flower production. Bouquets of double tulips last long in water, look fresh, and store well.
