Description

Tulip "Merlot" - this is a tulip variety that will be remembered not only for its delicate name but also for the shape of its buds. It can be used to decorate gardens or for cut flowers. The tulip has strong stems and dark green, dagger-shaped leaves. Unforgettable flowering begins in late May. The buds are quite large, resembling lilies. The petals of this plant, like those of lily-flowered tulips, are elongated, slightly bent outwards with their pointed edges. The scent of the tulip is intoxicating, sparklingly sweet.

Height: 50 cm.
Flower diameter: up to 15 cm.
Flower shape: goblet-shaped.
Color: ruby.

Care is simple: good watering is necessary, avoiding water stagnation. It is also recommended not to forget about loosening the soil and complex fertilizers. Bulbs can be susceptible to fungal diseases, so each excavation and replanting should be accompanied by treatment and drying of the planting material.
