Tulipa "Palmyra" is an elegant and extraordinarily effective variety from the group of double late tulips, which attracts with its large, densely double flowers and unusual dark coloring. The plant grows up to 40-50 cm high and forms luxurious buds that resemble peonies or old roses in shape. The petals have a rich burgundy-violet hue, which under certain lighting may appear almost black, giving the flowers special depth and dramatic expressiveness. Flowering occurs in late spring, usually in May, when Palmyra becomes a true adornment of flowerbeds, mixborders, and cut flower arrangements. Bulbs are planted in autumn at a depth of 10-15 cm depending on their size. For abundant flowering, it is recommended to use complex fertilizers for bulbous crops during planting and during active growth. After flowering, faded buds are removed, and the leaves are left to die off naturally so that the bulb accumulates enough nutrients for the next season. Thanks to its exquisite shape, rich color, and long decorative effect, the Palmyra tulip is an excellent choice for both garden compositions and for creating luxurious bouquets.
