Description

Tulip "Red Dress" - these unusual flowers, from a distance, resemble blooming roses. They have a pleasant fragrance and are characterized by beautiful and long-lasting flowering. Cup-shaped buds with wavy-edged red petals are supported by green flower stalks. The flowers are surrounded by sword-shaped, firm leaves of a blue-green color. Tulips bloom in April, 2-3 weeks after the snow has completely melted.

Variety characteristics:
bush height — 40-50 cm;
flower diameter — 5-10 cm;
flower shape — cup, wavy petals;
petal color — red;
leaf color — green with a waxy coating.

Planting depth – approximately 15-20 cm (from the base of the bulb), and for perennial varieties – up to 30 cm. Distance between plants – 10-15 cm. A handful of compost or special bulb fertilizer should be added to each hole – this will help young roots take root faster.
Choose a place where water does not stagnate and where plants will receive at least 6 hours of sun per day. After flowering, do not rush to cut the leaves – they accumulate nutrients for new bulbs. Remove only the flower stalks so that the plant does not waste energy on seeds. Fertilize in spring or autumn with a low-nitrogen fertilizer, compost, or well-rotted manure – tulips will reward you with abundant flowering.
