Description
Allium "New York" - is one of the most expressive hybrids of ornamental onion, specially bred to create accentuating verticals in modern and classic garden styles. Thanks to its tall, strong flower stalk and large spherical inflorescence, it is ideal for mixed borders, structural compositions, and floristry. It is distinguished by stable flowering, high frost resistance, and decorative appeal not only during budding but also after wilting – dry inflorescences retain their structure and decorative effect. This variety is valued by both landscape designers and experienced gardeners for its ability to create rhythm, depth, and perspective in plantings. Allium New York is not just a beautiful plant, but an element of garden architecture.
How to plant allium correctly?
Allium New York prefers sunny areas with light, well-drained soil without waterlogging. Bulbs are planted in autumn, burying them to 2.5-3 times their height. In early spring, broad leaves begin to grow, which die back before flowering. To stimulate budding in spring, it is recommended to apply phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. Flowering lasts up to 4 weeks, and the inflorescences remain decorative even after wilting. The variety is excellent for cutting and is used in bouquets, composite plantings, and mixed borders. It looks spectacular with grasses, lavender, sage, and other structural perennials.

The stems remained firm instead of drooping further. The plant recovered from the journey soon after unpacking. The root area settled without needing extra handling.

Nothing suggested that the parcel had been left waiting for long. The parcel arrived within the expected window. I would be comfortable ordering another variety this way.
