Description

Allium "Ostara" - is a relative of edible onions and garlic. In appearance, the flower resembles an onion due to the shape of its leaves and their aroma when broken, as well as the shape of the emerging flower stalks. The flower stalk of the Ostara variety holds a large inflorescence at its top, consisting of many small flowers. This is what distinguishes the flower from its bitter relatives.

Planting (Allium Ostara) Planting time. Allium is planted in autumn, 2-3 weeks before the onset of frost. Planting location. The plant should be planted in humus-rich fertile soil. Choose an open or slightly shaded location for planting. Planting depth. The variety is planted at a shallow depth. Roughly dividing the bulb into three parts, only the two lower parts need to be placed in the soil. Care. Provide moderate watering, only when the soil dries out. Allium is known for its winter hardiness, so it does not require shelter in cold weather. After the plant has flowered, there is no need to dig it up for the summer. The variety grows rapidly and is not affected by diseases for a long time, so Allium Ostara grows in the same spot for several years.
