Allium "Ping Pong" - is an elegant ornamental onion with perfectly rounded, snow-white inflorescences resembling small balloons. Dense spherical inflorescences with a diameter of 8–10 cm consist of many small star-shaped flowers and are located on strong, straight flower stalks 40–60 cm high. Thanks to its pure white color, the variety combines perfectly with perennials and conifers, giving the flower bed lightness and sophistication.
Ornamental onions originate from Europe, Asia, and Central Asia, where their natural species grow in sunny meadows and steppe regions. The Ping Pong variety was bred as a compact large-flowered allium with an ideal spherical inflorescence shape. It is highly valued by landscape designers for its long flowering period, unpretentiousness, and versatility in garden design.
The plant prefers sunny areas with fertile, light, and well-drained soil. It blooms in May–June, is highly winter-hardy, and requires practically no complex care. Suitable for growing in flower beds, mixed borders, rockeries, as well as for cutting and creating original arrangements.
