Description

Amaranthus caudatus "Cascade Mix" -seeds- is an impressive ornamental amaranth that transforms flowerbeds into a true "flowering waterfall". Its powerful upright bushes reach 80–120 cm in height and form lush green foliage from which long, flowing inflorescences cascade.

The main decoration of the plant is its luxurious cascading panicles, up to 50–80 cm long. They consist of many small flowers and gracefully hang downwards, creating an expressive decorative effect. The 'Cascade Mix' combines rich burgundy-red, crimson, and delicate lime-green shades, making the plantings look lively and dynamic.

Flowering begins 2–2.5 months after sowing and continues from July until the first frosts. The inflorescences gradually lengthen, maintaining their ornamental value throughout the season.

Amaranth is unpretentious, grows quickly, tolerates heat and short-term drought well. It develops best in sunny areas with nutritious soil. It is ideal for creating accents in flower beds, mixed borders, and is also widely used for cutting and dry bouquets.
