Azalea japonica "Geisha Orange" is a compact form of rhododendron, a semi-evergreen shrub.
It reaches half a meter in height, slow-growing.
Flowers. The Geisha Orange variety was bred in 1971 and is characterized by beautiful white and orange flowers that grow in simple inflorescences.
Leaves are dark green, lighter on the underside.
Flowering period – May.
Planting location. Geisha Orange thrives best in slightly shaded areas. The plant can die under direct sunlight. It also needs humid air and moist, but not boggy, acidic soil with good drainage, and regular spraying (it's important to avoid getting water droplets on the petals during spraying – they can start to rot from this).
The Azalea japonica Geisha Orange variety is used not only for indoor cultivation but also for decorating rock gardens, heather gardens, and other landscape compositions.
Frost resistance – up to minus 24 degrees Celsius.
