Azalea japonica "Gumpo Pink" - is a graceful dwarf Japanese azalea from the Satsuki group, valued for its compactness, hardiness, and truly spectacular flowering. This is a time-tested variety with over a hundred years of history, which confidently holds its place in both classic gardens and modern container compositions.
The bush forms a dense, neat, cushion-shaped crown about 40–60 cm high and up to 1 meter wide. Small glossy dark green leaves remain decorative throughout the season, creating an ideal backdrop for the flowers.
The main advantage of the variety is its late and abundant flowering. From mid-May to June, the bush is literally covered with delicate pink flowers with a subtle speckle, completely hiding the foliage. Thanks to its belonging to the Satsuki group, 'Gumpo Pink' blooms later than most Japanese azaleas, extending the season of vibrant colors in the garden.
The variety is highly resistant to heat and humidity, tolerates container cultivation well, and is ideal for borders, rockeries, and small gardens. Thanks to its compact size and neat shape, it easily fits even into limited spaces, while remaining an expressive accent.
