Description

Chionodoxa forbesii "Blue Giant" - is a charming, spectacular, and amazing plant that literally catches the eye. Its amethyst-blue flowers perfectly harmonize with other small-bulb spring-flowering plants. When ordering Chionodoxa Blue Giant, note that its height reaches 25 cm, so the plant can be included in mixed compositions of low-growing bulbs on a rock garden or a spring lawn. They are undemanding to soils, do not require winter cover, and grow perfectly at the roots of deciduous trees or among bushes, as their active vegetation phase occurs in early spring when there are no leaves yet. Bulbs can be planted immediately upon receipt to a depth not exceeding three times their diameter. Agricultural techniques are simple: mineral fertilization is desirable in early spring and after flowering, waterlogging and fresh organic matter are unacceptable.
