Description
Crocus tommasinianus "Whitewell Purple" — This is a spectacular botanical crocus with rich reddish-purple flowers, a light center, and bright golden-orange anthers. The elegant six-petaled flowers open on sunny days, taking on a beautiful star shape. Thanks to its early flowering, this variety becomes one of the first vibrant accents of the spring garden.
The plant reaches a height of about 10 cm, and the flower diameter is up to 5 cm. Narrow dark green leaves appear during flowering and fully develop after it ends. Flowering lasts about 20 days — from February to March. The variety is characterized by good frost resistance and does not require winter cover.
