Description
Gooseberry & Redcurrant Collection – 3 Plants — a vibrant and productive collection of green and red gooseberries along with popular redcurrant. The set combines different shades and flavors of berries, good winter hardiness, and stable fruiting, making it perfect for creating a diverse berry corner in the garden.
Gooseberry "Hinnonmäki Grön" is a mid-season variety that originated in Finland. Leaves are petiolate, 3-5-lobed, short-pubescent, dull green, with obtusely toothed margins. Flowers are greenish-yellow, located singly or in groups of 2-3 in the leaf axils. Blooms in early May. Fruits are elongated-oval, olive-green, slightly pubescent, fragrant. Berries have a sweet and sour dessert taste, juicy and aromatic. Yield is high. Fruits annually, 4-5 kg per bush. Fruits ripen at the end of July. Has high resistance to mildew. From one bush, you can collect from 4 to 7 kg of fruits. The variety is self-fertile, pollinated by bees and bumblebees. Neighboring varieties are not required for fruiting. Valued for its high content of organic acids, trace elements, and vitamins, as well as for its excellent gastronomic qualities.
Gooseberry "Hinnonmäki Röd" is a fast-growing plant that adapts well in gardens. The bush is very hardy, dense, and spreading, up to 1.5 m high. It yields generous harvests of excellent quality berries, with a mature bush yielding up to 7 kg. Fruits ripen in July, large (7-8 grams), oval, almost round, dark red. The flesh is sweet, almost without acidity. The berries make delicious marmalade and excellent jam.
Redcurrant "Jonkheer van Tets" is a mid-early ripening variety obtained in Holland by crossing Fay's Prolific and London Market varieties in 1941. A popular variety due to its maximum yield, frost resistance, and large berry size. Advantages of the variety: self-fertility, high winter hardiness, good stable yield, suitable for personal and industrial cultivation.
