Description

Juniper 'Blue Carpet' is a striking evergreen coniferous shrub with expressive silvery-blue needles and a beautiful spreading crown. The variety quickly spreads wide, forming a dense decorative "carpet", making it perfect for landscaping slopes, rockeries, and modern landscape compositions.

The main advantage of 'Blue Carpet' is its extraordinarily beautiful needles of a rich bluish-grey, silvery-blue hue. Dense shoots are arranged almost horizontally and picturesquely cascade down the edges, creating a voluminous, soft-looking crown. The plant retains its decorative appeal all year round.

When mature, the shrub typically reaches about 30–60 cm in height, while being able to spread to approximately 1.5–2 m in width. Thanks to this form, the variety is especially valuable as a groundcover conifer.

Juniper prefers sunny, well-lit areas – it is in the sun that the blue coloration of the needles is most vibrant. It thrives best in loose, well-drained soils and, after rooting, exhibits good drought resistance. It does not like prolonged water stagnation near the roots.
