Description

Muscari latifolium "Grape Ice" is one of the most striking varieties of muscari, instantly attracting attention with its unusual coloring. Its small, densely packed bells form a lush inflorescence in the shape of a grape cluster. The main color is a rich dark purple, and each flower top has a white color, creating the impression that it is dusted with frost.

This compact plant forms dense clumps and is excellent for borders, rockeries, spring flowerbeds, containers, and boxes. Grape Ice also looks good in combination with other early-flowering bulbous plants, such as tulips, daffodils, or chionodoxa. The plant is unpretentious, frost-resistant, and produces more abundant blooms over the years. Its delicate aroma pleasantly complements the spring atmosphere in the garden.

Muscari prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas with light, well-drained soils. Bulbs are planted in autumn (September-October) to a depth of 6-8 cm. After flowering, the leaves are not cut until they are completely dry – this allows the bulb to accumulate nutrients for the next year.
