Plum 'Opal' - is a fruit plum with an expressive appearance, beautiful texture, and harmonious silhouette. Deciduous green foliage forms a fresh crown during the season and adds new shades to the composition in autumn. Flowering occurs in spring and early summer; the main flower color is "White". The plant forms edible fruits; the fruit color is "Typical for the variety"; ripening usually lasts from July to September.

To maintain the plant's neat shape and expressiveness, it is sufficient to provide it with a suitable location and consistent care. Optimal lighting - sun; a warm and, if possible, sheltered place. Soil - fertile, well-drained; slightly acidic to neutral. Watering - regular during the rooting, flowering, and fruit-filling periods; without waterlogging. Frost resistance - high, approximately up to -20...-25 °C.

The variety is equally suitable for decorative and practical plantings, provided its scale and growth habit are taken into account in advance. Best use scenarios - fruit garden; compact/heat-loving crops - large container. The main advantages of "Opal" are edible harvest, extended fruiting period, self-fertility, good winter hardiness, and suitability for container cultivation. To maintain its shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: formative and sanitary; timing and intensity depend on the crop and type of fruiting. Pollination feature - depends on the variety: Opal and Victoria are usually self-fertile; Reine Claude Verte and many others are better with a pollinator.
