Rhododendron yakushimanum "Kalinka" is a spectacular ornamental tree with a round, compact crown, grafted on a standard stem. The height of the plant depends on the height of the standard stem. The leaves are evergreen, dense, dark green with a velvety texture on the underside, which makes the plant attractive even in the cold season. In spring, in May-June, the tree is covered with large spherical pink inflorescences, gradually lightening, creating the effect of a smooth transition from rich to delicate shades.
How to plant and care for Rhododendron yakushimanum 'Kalinka': For a standard rhododendron, it is important to choose acidic, well-drained, moist, but not waterlogged soil. It grows best in partial shade or diffused light, as bright sun can damage the foliage. The plant tolerates frosts down to -20°C well, but since standard forms are more sensitive to cold, mulching the root zone and covering for winter are recommended. Water regularly, avoiding water stagnation. Spring feeding with special fertilizers for rhododendrons will promote good flowering. Pruning for shaping is usually not necessary, as the crown naturally maintains a harmonious round shape.

The box was arranged so the plant could not move freely. This order included Rhododendron yakushimanum "Kalinka". The roots still had enough moisture after the journey.
