Thuja occidentalis "Holmstrup" - is an elegant evergreen coniferous variety with a dense, neat, narrowly conical crown and rich green needles. The plant is characterized by compact growth, high ornamental value, and unpretentiousness, making it perfectly suitable for both small home gardens and for creating expressive landscape compositions.

The main advantage of the variety is its beautiful, dense conical crown, which forms naturally and practically does not require regular pruning. The shoots are dense and evenly spaced, creating a clear vertical silhouette. The needles are scaly, of a rich dark green color, retaining an attractive color throughout the year, including winter.

"Holmstrup" is characterized by a slow to moderate growth rate. An adult plant usually reaches about 2.5–3.5 m in height with a width of approximately 0.8–1 m. Thanks to its compact crown, the thuja does not take up much space and is well suited for areas with limited space.

For planting, it is recommended to choose sunny areas or light partial shade. The plant develops best on fertile, moderately moist, and well-drained soils. Young seedlings need regular watering, especially after planting and during prolonged dry periods. Water stagnation in the root zone should be avoided.

The variety is characterized by high frost resistance, tolerates the climatic conditions of Ukraine well, and retains its ornamental value throughout the year. Due to its naturally neat shape, the plant requires minimal care, while, if necessary, it tolerates light formative pruning well.

Thuja occidentalis "Holmstrup" looks impressive in single and group plantings, along paths and entrance areas, in coniferous compositions, and hedges. The slender dark green crown blends perfectly with golden thujas, junipers, ornamental shrubs, and perennials.
