The main feature of "Teddy" is its dense, rounded crown, which forms naturally and practically does not require regular shaping pruning. Numerous thin shoots are very densely arranged, making the plant look like a neat green ball. The needles are soft, delicate, and rich green. In cold seasons, the color may acquire a slight bronze or brownish-green tint, and in spring it becomes bright green again.

The variety is characterized by slow growth. An adult plant usually reaches about 40–60 cm in height and approximately the same diameter. Its compactness allows "Teddy" to be grown even in small areas, as well as in decorative pots on terraces and near house entrances.

For planting, it is recommended to choose a sunny spot or light partial shade. Thuja develops best in fertile, moderately moist, and well-drained soils. Young plants need regular watering, especially after planting and during hot, dry periods. Waterlogging in the root zone should be avoided.

Thuja occidentalis "Teddy" looks great in single and group plantings, coniferous compositions, rock gardens, and along paths. Its neat spherical shape combines well with junipers, low-growing conifers, ornamental grasses, and flowering perennials.
