Description

Allium "Violet Beauty" is a popular variety of ornamental onion, capable of becoming a bright accent in any flower bed.

The plant is unpretentious, 60 to 80 cm tall, with upright hollow stems of a semi-cylindrical shape. The basal leaf blades are rich green.

Flowering is intense, occurring from late spring to early summer, lasting 15 to 20 days. The inflorescences are delicate, weightless, perfectly spherical, about 8 cm in size, formed by many small star-shaped buds with needle-like lilac-violet petals that do not lose their brightness even in rainy weather.

Frost resistance is increased.
