Description
«Doyenné du Comice» is a fruit-bearing pear tree: a bright element of the garden where naturalness is combined with a neat shape and expressive texture. Deciduous green foliage forms a fresh crown during the season, and adds new shades to the composition in autumn. Flowering occurs in spring and early summer; the main flower color is «White». The plant produces edible fruits; the fruit color is «Characteristic for the variety»; ripening usually lasts from August to October.
The variety best reveals its decorative qualities when the right location is chosen and with stable, but not excessive, care. Optimal lighting – sun; a warm and, if possible, sheltered place. Soil – fertile, well-drained; slightly acidic to neutral. Watering – regular during rooting, flowering, and fruit development; without waterlogging. Frost resistance – high, approximately down to −20…−25 °C.
In garden design, the plant is valued for its plasticity and ability to harmoniously support different planting styles. Best use scenarios – fruit garden; compact/heat-loving crops – large container. The main advantages of «Doyenné du Comice» are an edible harvest, an extended fruiting period, good winter hardiness, suitability for container growing, and the architectural silhouette of the mature plant. To maintain its shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: formative and sanitary; timing and intensity depend on the crop and type of fruiting. Pollination feature – most varieties require a compatible pollinator variety.

As raízes e a parte superior pareciam equilibradas.
