«Fig» is a fruit bush / small tree: a vibrant garden element where naturalness combines with a neat shape and expressive texture. Deciduous green foliage emphasizes the natural seasonal rhythm and creates a calm background for flowering or fruiting. The plant forms edible fruits; ripening usually lasts from August to October. As an adult, the plant typically reaches 2–4 m in height and about 2–4 m in width, so its future scale is easy to consider when planning planting. Better than any other variety, it reveals its decorative qualities with a properly chosen location and stable, but not excessive, care. Optimal lighting – sun; a warm and, if possible, protected place. Soil – fertile, well-drained; slightly acidic to neutral. Watering – regular during the rooting, flowering, and fruit development periods; without waterlogging. Frost resistance – medium, approximately −10…−15 °C; protection is needed in cold regions. In garden design, the plant is valued for its plasticity and ability to harmoniously support various planting styles. Best use scenarios – fruit garden; compact/heat-loving crops – large container. The main advantages of «Fig» are edible harvest, extended fruiting period, suitability for container cultivation, architectural silhouette of an adult plant, and a combination of decorative and practical value. To maintain its shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: formative and sanitary; timing and intensity depend on the crop and type of fruiting. Pollination feature – cultivated parthenocarpic varieties usually bear fruit without a pollinator.
