Description
«Bigarreau Burlat» is a stone fruit tree: a bright element of the garden where naturalness combines with a neat shape and expressive texture. Deciduous green foliage forms a fresh crown during the season and adds new shades to the composition in autumn. Flowering occurs in spring and early summer; the main flower color is «White». The plant forms edible fruits; the fruit color is «Typical for the variety»; ripening usually lasts from June to August.
The variety best reveals its decorative qualities with a properly chosen location and stable, but not excessive, care. Optimal lighting — sun; a warm and, if possible, sheltered place. Soil — fertile, well-drained; slightly acidic-neutral. Watering — regular during the rooting, flowering, and fruit setting periods; without water stagnation. Frost resistance — high, approximately up to −20…−25 °C.
In garden design, the plant is valued for its plasticity and ability to harmoniously support various planting styles. Best use scenarios — fruit garden; compact/heat-loving cultures — large container. The main advantages of «Bigarreau Burlat» — an edible harvest, an extended fruiting period, good winter hardiness, suitability for container cultivation, and the architectural silhouette of an adult plant. To maintain the shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: formative and sanitary; timing and intensity depend on the culture and type of fruiting. Pollination feature — for a good harvest, a compatible pollinator variety is usually needed.
