Description
'Sylvia' is a fruiting stone fruit tree: a spectacular garden plant capable of adding depth, character, and a sense of completeness to a composition. Deciduous green foliage forms a fresh crown during the season, adding new shades to the composition in autumn. Flowering occurs in spring and early summer; the main flower color is "White". The plant produces edible fruits; the fruit color is "Characteristic for the variety"; ripening usually lasts from June to August.
The beauty of the variety is particularly well-displayed where lighting, soil, and humidity are selected according to its characteristics. Optimal lighting – sun; a warm and, if possible, protected place. Soil – fertile, well-drained; slightly acidic to neutral. Watering – regular during the rooting, flowering, and fruit-setting periods; without waterlogging. Frost resistance – high, approximately down to −20…−25 °C.
In a composition, the plant helps create an expressive structure and maintain interest in the planting throughout the season. Best use scenarios – fruit garden; compact/heat-loving crops – large container. The main advantages of 'Sylvia' are an edible harvest, extended fruiting period, good winter hardiness, suitability for container cultivation, and the architectural silhouette of an adult plant. To maintain its shape, it is sufficient to adhere to the following pruning scheme: formative and sanitary; timing and intensity depend on the crop and type of fruiting. Pollination feature – for a good harvest, a compatible pollinator variety is usually needed.
