Home Orchard Starter Collection – 3 Trees — a practical starter set for a home fruit garden, combining two popular apple varieties and a productive plum. The collection combines different tastes and ripening periods, allowing you to get fresh fruits for consumption, storage, and home processing.

Apple "Elstar" is early-bearing and characterized by high yield. The fruits are medium-sized, weighing about 125-150 g. They are spherical in shape and slightly flattened at the top and bottom. The skin is bright red with dark red streaks all over the surface. It has a medium thickness and a glossy surface. The flesh is light yellow, firm, and very juicy. The taste is sweet and sour. The tree is medium-sized. It has a rounded, spreading crown, which is characterized by sufficient density. Skeletal branches grow at an angle of 60-90° relative to the tree trunk. The variety needs reliable protection against fungal diseases, for example, powdery mildew.

Apple "Golden Delicious" is a winter variety. It was first discovered in one of the US states, and its true origin is still unknown. This variety has many positive characteristics, which is why it is currently grown almost all over the world. The Golden Delicious apple tree belongs to medium-sized trees; a mature tree reaches 3 meters. The branches form a dense, conical crown. The apples grow quite large (120-220 grams). Ripe fruits have a golden-yellow color with greenish speckles. The skin is rough and dry to the touch. One of the advantages of the Golden Delicious variety is that the fruits do not fall from the branches even when ripe. In addition, the apples have a sweet, dessert taste. When planting the Golden Delicious apple variety, it is necessary to remember that it needs additional pollinators.

Plum "Opal" is a highly productive variety of a medium-sized tree, reaching a height of 2.5–3 m. It begins to bear fruit in the 3rd year after planting. Fruit ripening occurs from late August to early September. The fruits are medium to large, weighing 45-55 g, and are round-oval in shape. The skin is rich purple with a waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow-green, juicy, tender, sweet with a slight sourness. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, compotes, jams, and drying. The Opal variety is frost-resistant, resistant to major diseases, tolerates fruit transportation well, and maintains quality for up to two weeks. Partially self-fertile, it is well pollinated by other plum varieties.
