The bush is characterized by an upright growth habit. It forms a rounded crown at a moderate rate. The height of an adult bush reaches 180-240 cm. The plant forms a crown up to 150-240 cm wide.

The stems are moderately branched, covered with dark brown bark. The leaves have a wedge-shaped base, are ellipsoid, and pointed at the ends. They are smooth and leathery to the touch. The color of the leaves is olive green. In autumn, a color change is observed. The leaves acquire a dark burgundy color.

The flowering period starts in April. The color of the petals is orange, sometimes with a reddish tint. The flowers are narrow, funnel-shaped with wavy edges.

Care is quite simple. The essential conditions for full growth are:

• Constant moisture. The plant needs moderate watering. The soil should be moistened as needed, but no less than once a week.
• Good mulching. Small fibrous roots will retain moisture better if the soil around the trunk is covered with wood chips, bark, etc.
• Soil enrichment. Preference should be given to special mineral fertilizers for azaleas.
