Description
Tulip "tarda" is a species (botanical) tulip, valued for its compactness, unpretentiousness, and ability to spread well over time. Unlike classic garden varieties, it looks more "natural" and is often used in naturalistic plantings, rock gardens, and rockeries.
The plant is short - usually 10-20 cm, forming several flowers on one stem, which is rare for tulips. The flowers open wide in the sun, with a diameter of about 4-6 cm. The coloring is contrasting: white petals with a bright yellow center, which makes the flower very noticeable despite its compact size. In cloudy weather, the buds may close. The fragrance is light, pleasant.
