Description

Large-fruited Sweet Cherry is a spectacular dessert variety with very large, juicy and attractive fruits. It is especially valued for its rich taste, high yield and beautiful commercial appearance of the berries.

The tree forms a well-developed, spreading crown and usually reaches 3–5 m in adulthood. In spring, the plant looks especially decorative: the branches are covered with numerous delicate white flowers, creating a lush cloud of bloom.

The fruits are large, rounded or slightly heart-shaped, with smooth, glossy skin. As they ripen, the color becomes dark red, burgundy, sometimes almost cherry-black. The pulp is dense, fleshy and very juicy, with a harmonious sweet taste and a light refreshing sourness.

The variety is primarily suitable for fresh consumption, but the berries are also good for compotes, jams, desserts, baked goods, and freezing. Thanks to the dense pulp, the fruits retain their shape well and tolerate transportation.

For planting, it is best to choose a sunny, warm place protected from strong winds. In well-lit areas, the fruits are sweeter, larger, and more intensely colored. Fertile, loose, and well-drained soils without water stagnation are preferred.
